We had a great time working with Imagine One Tribe on a music video for Turan’s track Fear. A full project page soon to be up with shot breakdowns and all that fun stuff.
For now though, here’s the character assets we made for the project spinning in the land of gradients.
Since our last post.. in June ( wow, has really been a long time) we’ve been keeping busy on a multitude of projects, one working with our friends over at Another Space for a Cartier show in Japan. Some forests, some fireflies and a rather epic star field to brighten the mood. Sadly no free diamonds,.. maybe next time. Can check out the finished result here .
If you’re into that sorta thing, you can see a little behind-the-scenes of our Millie Moreorless trailer on our Vimeo page. Tecnhical-wise, the trailers’s modelled and animated in Maya (based on the adorable 2D character designs from Nick Stoney) and composited in Nuke (using a few custom doodahs like a little SSAO Blinkscript we made that we’re totally using on everything), with a ton of matte painting in Photoshop and Illustrator, in case you’re thinking of making your own or whatever…
The project page for our Rita Ora/Sigma visuals is now live! Check it out for exclusive behind-the-scenes showbiz gossip or, more specifically, procedural digital forests and pretty colours.
Top tip: if you want to grow your own digital forest, here ya go
- Axiom: A(2,1)
- A(l,w) = T F(l,w) B(l*0.6 , w * 0.5) /(b) T A(l * 0.9, w * 0.9)
- B(l,w) : w > c = [&F(l,w) A(l,w)]
- B(l,w) : w > d = [ C(l,w) ]
- B(l,w) = F(l,0)%
- C(l,w) = T(-1) & F(l*0.5,w/2) F(0.1,w/2) J(1, 1)
Some more 2D/3D FX experiments for our short film project.
What’s the matter, never seen a Doom Piano before? The one and only copy of this magnificent instrument is sitting in the Loading Bar in Dalston, so of course it gets a cameo in the environment design for our Loading Bar project.
YES! The Bartkira trailer
is coming…soon? Here’s a behind-the-scenes of our sections – we did the opening logo animation, and all the typography, plus the 90s VHS grading. Big ups to Ben McSweeney
for the hiragana Bartkira logo. You can see some more details on the project page
. And, even better, you can read the whole Bartkira (so far!) on the official site. Millhouuuuuuusseeeeeeee!
Sometimes we make 2D animation, and sometimes we make 3D animation, and sometimes we make both at the same time just to see what happens. These are some little FX experiments for our short film project “Probably Just a Cat”
We’re working on a little project for Supermono Studios and The Loading Bar. Naturally we had to drop by for some “research”…
So we’re making a short film
. Here’s a few work-in-progress tests, just making sure everything renders OK. Everything renders OK.
